The electrolyzer produces hydrogen with a pressure of 13,8 bar. The hydrogen is stored on the roof of "GlashusEtt" in 22 metal cylinders that each have a volume of 50 liters and that can store hydrogen with a pressure up to 200 bar. The hydrogen storage holds a maximum of 15 m3 hydrogen, which corresponds to a energy content of 45 kWh (Lower Heating Value).
ABB participated in a project called HYSTORY (Hydrogen Storage in Hydrides for Safe Energy Systems). In this project hydrogen storage in metal hydrides was tested and evaluated in the hybrid energy system in "GlashusEtt"
